EEF is dedicated to the future of manufacturing. Utilising their unique combination of business services, government representation and industry intelligence, EEF supports manufacturing businesses, from the largest to the smallest, to evolve, innovate and compete in a fast-changing world. Because EEF understands manufacturers so well, they work with policy makers in the best interests of manufacturing, to encourage a high growth industry and boost its ability to make a positive contribution to the UK’s economy.
EEF’s policy work delivers real business value for members and a unique insight into the way changing legislation will affect their business. This insight, complemented by intelligence gathered through on-going member research and networking programmes, informs a broad portfolio of services; services that unlock business potential by creating highly productive workplaces in which innovation, creativity and competitiveness can thrive.
Lombard draws on the expertise and knowledge of partners and industry stakeholders including EEF to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by UK manufacturers.
The EEF Photography Competition aims to inspire a new public perception of a modern UK manufacturing industry by capturing the industry's ingenuity, creativity, technology and pride through inspiring photography of its people, products, processes and places of work. Winning photographs will be displayed at government offices in Westminster and EEF offices across the UK.
Anyone can enter the competition; amateur and professional photographers from the manufacturing industry and the general public. The next generation of apprentices, engineers and manufacturers can enter their images in a 14-19 year-old category.
The competition closed on 4 November. The winners will be announced at the EEF Gala Dinner on 26 January 2012, with £5,000 of Canon equipment up for grabs.
