Failsworth, October 8th 2008 – Axiom Displays, the Failsworth-based manufacturer of point of sale and point of purchase displays, has invested £160,000 in new technology in response to continued demand for its products.
The company, based on Mersey Road North, has purchased a new computerised Biesse router machine, after securing funding from Lombard, the asset finance arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland ("RBS"). The machine will improve the efficiency of Axiom's manufacturing process and increase the number of different designs they can produce.
Axiom works with many of the UK's leading brands to help them maximise their retail display opportunities. The company provides its clients with a full point of sale or point of purchase display solution including research, design, manufacture and installation. Clients include major greetings card retailers, sport & leisure retailers, travel companies and high street fashion outlets.
Axiom's sales have grown significantly over the last few years to reach £5m thanks to a combination of new business wins and continued investment in their manufacturing facilities. The company was founded in 1955 and employs 70 people at its Failsworth base.
