RBS Newbury Expands
Newbury, March 2008 – The Royal Bank of Scotland' ("RBS") Commercial Banking works with businesses with an annual turnover of £1 - £25 million. Its Newbury team has expanded with the appointment of Steve George, Development Manager who works in RBS Invoice Finance, part of the RBS Group.
Steve has worked with RBS for more than five years and has experience of working within invoice finance for more than 15 years. During this time Steve has worked throughout the Thames Valley region giving him good local business knowledge. He will now be focusing on the Newbury area, facilitating customers and local businesses invoice finance needs.
Invoice finance allows a business to access the cash it needs from unpaid invoices immediately, thus offering an alternative funding stream for a business. As opposed to accessing funds via lines of credit such as loans or overdrafts for example, invoice finance or invoice discounting is a flexible way to raise funds as it is allows funding to grow in line with the growth of the business.
In addition to RBS Invoice Finance, RBS is able to provide various funding options through its commercial banking teams in conjunction with its specialist businesses partners: Lombard, the asset finance provider, Coutts, together with its International Banking Services and Banking Relationship Services teams, meaning a full and comprehensive service can be offered to the SME market. The aim is to support businesses in all sectors both domestically and internationally.
