Nursling, August 2009 – Civil engineering Company, Dyer & Butler Ltd has chosen The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), as its new banking partner for all their operations.
Dyer & Butler principally involved in civil engineering projects and construction was founded in 1979 by Bob Dyer and David Butler. Both remain shareholders although the day-to-day running of the business is managed by Paul Hobbs, Managing Director; John Davies, Finance Director; Neil Edwards, Commercial Director; Steve Jayne and Jon Whitehouse, Operations Directors. Dyer & Butler has its head office in Nursling, Southampton, plus offices in Exeter, Swansea, Dartford and High Wycombe. It also has full representation at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead airports.
Dyer & Butler has grown considerably since it was set up and the now £70 million turnover business employs in excess of 500 staff. Growth for the business in recent years has been focused on contracts with BAA and Network Rail. Dyer & Butler manage airport infrastructure, maintenance and main contracting at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Southampton airports. The business has played a key role in these airports' regeneration programmes. Dyer & Butler maintain framework agreements with several high profile clients including Network Rail, London Underground & Hampshire County Council.
The Dyer & Butler management team was looking for a new banking partner to work alongside the business and help it to progress its future growth and strategy and approached The Royal Bank of Scotland. Grant Paramor, Relationship Director and Andrew Syvret, Director, New Business for RBS Corporate Banking in the Solent region, worked closely with the business to understand it's current and longer term financial and operational requirements. Grant will also manage the day-to-day banking for the Company.
As part of the overall banking review Dyer & Butler also sort the assistance of Lombard Corporate Finance, the asset finance provider of the RBS Group, to assist with some of their immediate asset finance requirements. Nick Wilkinson from Lombard is also looking to assist with the company's longer term funding needs by developing the relationship further.
